Toyota Yaris Unveiled * 7 airbags, Tyre pressure monitoring system, Hill start assist. * All wheel disc brakes, Traction control. * 1.5L dual VVT-i petrol engine with 6speed manual and 7 speed CVT. * I think he said roof mounted ac vents with ambient lighting for the rear passengers. Loved the performance and enthusiasm while they launched the Yaris. Found it funny that the chief engineer of Yaris is Mr. Suzuki:D. |

The Yaris looks like a masterstroke from Toyota to drive into the City/Verna territory; I am really looking forward to its launch. And what's more pleasing is the safety kit on offer - 7 airbags, traction control/VSC etc. And going by the launch videos this probably will be the first in segment to have a proper 3-point seatbelt for the rear-middle passenger. |
Mechanically and visually the Nexon AMT remains identical to the manual variants save for the AMT gear knob inside the cabin. The AMT gearbox is available with both petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol motor puts out 110 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque while the 1.5-litre diesel mill churns out 110 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque. |

With the kind of kit/Equipment they are offering, it might land into Elantra's territory in terms of pricing. Just the way Honda City moving away from their territory to Elantra territory. I think Amaze will fill in City's shoes in terms of pricing and City will hit next segment pricing. |
