No wonder all these companies are struggling. They make early adopters look like fools. Essentially it should be the other way round.

I still don't understand how the models are still priced so high. My guess is anyone who has 60 big ones to splurge on a weekend ride would:
1. Have had some global exposure in life, and so can easily find out that these cars are being sold way above their league in India, and
2. Have common sense

How many did Jeep sell this year?

Can't say how many in India, but when I was checking out the Compass at Landmark Automobiles in South Delhi, I was told they have 6 orders for the SRT! I took it with a pinch of salt as I'm yet to see one on the road in Delhi NCR.

Give them some credit. A lot of these reductions are down to the GST which has led to cheaper luxury cars. Still overpriced though.

I wouldn't doubt that. We're a vast country with all kinds of customer preferences - more varied perhaps than any other. If people can buy DC Avantis for 40 lakhs on the road, there are at least a handful who'll go for the SRT.

Might have told customers that it's a Sachin R Tendulkar Edition.

Jokes apart, SRT is the true halo model in the lineup. There are some true bling items in there to brag about -

6.4L V8 engine.
475hp, 637Nm.
0 - 100 in around 5 secs for a 2.5 ton behemoth
Full body kit
19 speaker, 825W Harman Kardon audio.
20 inch wheels.
Brembo brakes.
