The Underthigh support for 3rd row even in outgoing Ertiga was never that great and partly the meagre leg room was also making things difficult.

However with extra leg room you can rest your feet ahead that manages to provide the underthigh support. But with the recline angle that is definitely useful, the seating comfort here has certainly improved.

Also, right from the first Gen the 3rd row seat was not low where you would sit knees pointing up like many other pseudo 7 seaters. Even in this that height is maintained. A regular adult would be happy in the 3rd row now for a longer duration than before: Extra leg room, reclining seats and a larger quarter panel glass.

All about Ertiga and more from Maruti Suzuki, BS VI diesel engines may not be a viable proposition for certain segments due to cost reasons.

Are the New Ertiga Tail Lamps different in the Indonesian version ?

The L Shape Tail Lamps which are a Striking highlight of its new Design and Character
Are they different from the Indonesian version ??

Somehow it seems absent in the Official Teaser and all the Online Reviews ?
Or have i missed something here ?? :Frustrati

Are the Light Guides absent in the Indian version ?

The light guides are missing ??

It is hard to believe that such a major Difference was missed out in all the Reviews.
Also the L Shape Housing of the Lamps is the same as the Indonesian version

Can someone who has seen the car in showrooms confirm this. please:

You are right , looks to me that they have removed the lights on the sides or it may come on while braking. I am not too sure but very cheap of them to do that. The rear LED was the highlight and looked very nice during night time. The Indian version with 4 led bulbs looks like a total ripoff. Lets see if it has anything to do with parking lights or regular beams.

No, they don't come ON while braking as seen in some of the Reviews.

Still hoping that i am Wrong and this is not the case
Wishful thinking that the Feature has somehow NOT been Omitted !

Can't still imagine how all the expert Reviews could have missed such a major Omission / if it actually was !! :Frustrati
Look at how many Reviews are popping on YouTube!
How could they miss this ?? :deadhorse

Very very interesting perspective from CV Raman on what has gone behind the scenes for building the new Ertiga.

Also important to note that they can make the current 1.3MJD BS VI compliant, but there is a huge cost involved.

So going forward, I guess Maruti vehicles will be heavily driven by the Petrols? Is my reading correct from this discussion?

This was echoed even in VW's strategy for India - All cars in the lower segment ( Polo and Vento and T Cross) will be an all petrol affair:)

Good catch sir!! This is such nonsense. First there is the difference between the wood finishes in Indonesia and India; and now this. Seriously, I don't see what the logic is behind such moves. What's the cost equation in providing this? And how does an almost 1 lac price hike not accommodate these features. Super disappointed. I was just about to write a cheque too. Now, I think I will wait to see if these aspects are going to be rectified, and / or a zxi+ automatic comes our way.

Tail Lamps define the whole character of any car from the Rear. They speak volumes of its so called "Premium image" that MS is targeting.
Tail lamps set the Fortuner apart from the Rest.
They define the Audis, BMWs, Mercs and Volvos on our Roads.

You Rip-off the lights and you Strip the very Life of its Rear end !
How could MS miss this ?
Please tell us that the Lights of these Test Lot were "Fused".
Please tell us you just forgot to Turn them On.

Is this what we get in the name of "Volvo-like" :deadhorse

Dots ??

In one of the YouTube reviews, the reviewer mentions that the upper portion of the rear light is just for aesthetics and doesn't turn on. So I guess this is how it is meant to be. Maybe MSIL is looking to include the L-shaped light guides in a midlife facelift of the Ertiga, much like how the Jazz VX received one to its rear lights recently.

To see both sides of the coin , Looks like the Indian version has ACC , Center armrest on the top end models , Reverse Camera and a few more goodies. Lost out on LED Rear Lights and better carpeting for the 3rd row back rest and boot ( Grey Thicker material)

Yes, the lights are different. Suzuki India has removed them and probably reserved them for the facelift, later. I see the same approach which was followed for Ciaz (LED strips in tail lamps in facelift). :deadhorse

What baffles me is the Logic behind MS offering Projector headlamps from the Base Variants to make Ertiga look more "Premium" and using this point in its Ad campaigns.
And Depriving these Amazingly Cool Rear Lights even on the Top Variants !

Also surprising is the Collective "Miss out" of all the Expert Reviewers in mentioning or Highlighting this Huge Omission !
Just imagine what an impact it would have made on the new Ertiga's Sales if most of the Experts had pointed out this Huge Miss.
Most Reviewers are merrily singing praises and busy highlighting positives as if there is nothing they can find missing. :Frustrati
Busy tempting more customers to get into those long queues , and push the waiting periods further.
Then, Why would MS feel the need to bring in these lights , or give us 7 color shades like in the Indonesian version ?

C'mon MS, don't Use this as another " Extra Accessories Strategy " @ iCreate ...
These Lights are already 7 months old, Don't deprive us now and dish-out Old Outdated Features in your Facelift an year later !:deadhorse

Suzuki's 1.5L diesel will debut in Ciaz and later in 2019, Ertiga too will get the BSVI compliant engine.
