Maruti Suzuki is offering Extended Warranty till 5 years / 1 lakh km, whichever is earlier. There are 3 plans : EW Gold, EW Platinum and EW Royal Platinum. I have also attached the price list of all plans. Nexa website is also updated with the pricing of new EW plan.

Pricing for Nexa cars is available here :

Note :
1.There is no clarity regarding upgrade options for existing owners with 3 / 4 years EW plan. As per the website, I could not see the option to upgrade from one plan to another. We need to confirm about this from nearest dealer.
2. Nexa website lists only Platinum and Royal Platinum plans. It needs to be confirmed if EW Gold / 3 years or 60,000 km plan is available for Nexa cars.
I have taken the 5 years / 1 lakh kms EW package for my new S Cross.. The cost was around 14k IIRC..

Royal Platinum EW plan for New S-Cross Zeta is 16,870 Rs excluding the applicable taxes.
I can see the Ritz being mentioned so it must be for existing buyers as well. What are Maruti's service interval ? I think with the extended warranty Maruti service center will have to strictly perform their service duties when the car comes in for servicing lest anything fails due to neglect once the car becomes older then 1-2 years. All the owner has to do is to take care not to void the warranty.

Maruti service interval is 1 year / 10k km. Yes, the car has to undergo routine service at authorised service centres during EW period.
Fantastic news clap:! A part of me is very happy that warranty is now offered for the 5th year as well (earlier limit was 4 years). Reason = the odds of part failure are higher in the 5th year than the 4th (age, wear & tear). I take extended warranty for all my cars, as well as electronic items (phone, laptop, TV etc.). It's not just the cost - extended warranty also saves time as there is no back & forth on who is responsible - the buck stops with the manufacturer.
Wishlist :Frustrati : Maruti should have offered longer packages like Honda, Toyota, BMW etc. do (6 - 7 years). They've anyway been so late to the 5-year warranty club.
With cars of the current era getting laden with more & more electronics, extended warranty is a must-have!

I had posted about this few weeks back itself in S-Cross thread. Maruti had not launched it officially then. During my discussion with birdie, he had mentioned that 5th year plan is introduced, based on market feedback. There were many cases where the parts failed after 4 th year and Maruti did replace them on goodwill (as it was within few weeks after expiry of EW).
I do not see Baleno listed in the documents or am I missing something?
I haven't opted for any extended warranty at all. In such case could I still go in for the 5yr warranty package?

Check the Nexa website link which I have posted. Yes, you can directly opt for 5 th year plan now :)

Thank you. I was on the link now. But I fail to understand the exact pricing for the Baleno for a direct 5yr/100000kms warranty. So I shot an email to nexa contact as my SA didn't answer the call - maybe she thought I am calling in for a complaint lol:
Any idea on the exact pricing please? I see from 7000/- to 14000/-

What's the confusion? All the variants of Baleno are listed with pricing. If you opt for it within 2 months from the date of purchase of car : the price is lesser :)
I just got it confirmed from the dealer that
even existing owners with 3rd / 4th year EW plan can upgrade to 5 th year EW Royal Platinum. I already have 4th year EW and the dealer has quoted around 13,500 rs to upgrade to 5th year plan for S-Cross 1.6 Alpha.
Following are the parts that are not covered under Extended Warranty program:
Insignificant defects which do not affect the function of the vehicle including
without limitation, sound, vibration and fluid seep etc.
Does it mean that if engine oil levels start to decrease frequently, it won't be covered under extended warranty?

Thank you! I guess it did not catch my eye as I was in a hurry to leave. I find the details now.
Surprisingly I called the NEXA toll free number and they informed me that they aren't aware of such EW and clearly informed me to contact my dealer.

I think (assumption) it means water leakage into the cabin and such.
Had got my wife a Celerio yesterday and got the 4th year extended warranty. Didn't know there was 5th year available.
How do vehicle owners who already have the 4 years extended warranty upgrade to this? Do they just pay for the additional 1 year?
