MARUTI ALTO SETS NEW RECORD... Breaks 800's record set in 2003...

Maruti Suzuki Alto sets the new sales record in India, with 22,294 cars sold in 1 month (Oct 2006)...

The previous record was held my Maruti suzuki 800 which sold 20,687 cars in a month (Mar 2003)...

Suzuki wagonR also acheives an all time high of 11,705 cars...

Wonder how this would be affected after the launch of the Zen estilo... Could have some serious competition in the budget end of the market...

Any predictions???

I think you are referring to Nov. sales. Most of the Auto companies are on fire.
Indica sold 13,047 nos., its highest ever sale in a month, since launch.

This is tata's latest sales figures.
Going by the above, I'm assuming maruti also must have clocked the similar kind of numbers for Nov. month.

The Alto Xfun seems to be be a big hit here at Cochin with lots & lots of them sailing out of the showroom.
