A well needed upgrade IMHO. This is the truck which has made Indians to lead the pickup life. All others who tried failed miserably. Only thing lacking is a little more power. 160ish bhp and 400nm of torque would've done wonders.

If it had an autobox pumping out about 150 bhp, I would have probably been at the dealership with my cheque book . It would still be VFM with a price difference of a lakh or so with an autobox.

Good list of upgrades from Isuzu and good to see they are continuing both the variants side by side in stead of scrapping the initial version altogether. Gives more flexibility to the buyer as per the budget.

This was a bad miss for sure.

Also, localisation is poor quality, this is not a true blue Jap quality truck.

This, probably is the biggest concern of all in the long run. I hope Isuzu puts some good effort to ensure the image of the brand doesn't suffer because of deterioration in quality of locally produced parts. This single factor could play a very big role in the success or failure of the truck in coming days.

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross facelift will be finally launched in India sometime this year.
Spied test mule has 1.9-litre, 4-cylinder BSVI-ready diesel engine, paired to a 6-speed automatic and shift-on-the-fly 4x4 system.
Spotted with a new ‘Prestige’ badge, with updated leather interior upholstery, 7-inch touchscreen with rear parking camera display, climate control, parking sensors.
Cosmetic changes inside-out should make it look fresh, though these updates have been available internationally since 2017.

Around 18-20 lac, planned sometime around May. Some dealers are even accepting bookings but not confirming exact launch dates. I believe, Isuzu must be trying to get maximum localization to keep prices in check.

Isuzu V Cross facelift to launch - starting at Rs 15.5 lakhs







2019 Isuzu V Cross facelift will be offered in Standard and High variants and will get two more colours - Sapphire Blue and Silky Pearl White. It will have a BS VI compliant engine offering 134 hp power and 320 Nm torque and capable of high pressure common rail fuel ignition system. The engine gets mated to a 5 speed MT.

Features of the facelifted V Cross -

1. New front grille
2. Bi-LED headlamps
3. Fog lamps with chrome bezel
4. Diamond cut 18” alloy wheels
5. Flared wheel arches
6. Roof rails
7. Shark fin antenna
8. Side steps
9. Blackened B Pillar
10. Chrome accents on its bumper
11. New LED tail lamps and new design lines.
12. New 3D Design Electroluminescent Meter and Gear Shift Indicator
13. Rear USB charging
14. PESS – Passive Entry and Start Stop feature
15. Full black color scheme Interiors (common to both the variants). The seating is better contoured while the High variant gets perforated leather seats for added passenger comforts.

Bookings have opened at all company showrooms. It is expected to be priced between Rs 15.51 lakhs for the Standard variant and Rs.17.03 lakhs for the High variant, although prices may be revised prior to launch.

Can someone with a good knowledge of V-Cross transformation, list down the key differences between Launch Model - Mid Face lift - latest face lift so that it helps to see what features are added for the price increases. I am slightly inclined to check it out. I tried reading through the thread to find this out, but some one has it ready, it will greatly help.
