Sunroof in S looks to be panoramic. While the one in Signature looks like a regular one.

That is because the Ecosport S gets a black roof while the Signature doesnít.

Are their any changes in the suspension set up of the Regular and the signature/S variant? I went to the Ford Dealership today and checked out the Titanium variant. The sales rep said that the new ecosport shall be coming to showrooms very shortly. A mere discount of Rs. 15000 is being offered at the current available trims( both Petrol and Diesel).

Just a quick question, i think 17 inch alloys will be an overkill in the current Indian road conditions, any thoughts on these please.

Sport is definitely more appealing & feature rich. On the other hand, the Titanium+ now seems like an irrelevant variant considering the Signature edition offers the same goodies + more.

Well i guess the power slide means it can tilt, leading to small opening at the rear. You may refer to this video mentioning the power tilt and slide features of a Toyota Sienna

To my un-intelligent mind, there's this laundry list of variants without a single fully accomplished one, except may be for the S but then that variant has very limited target audience.

There's no Signature AT listed on Ford's website but assuming that Signature package can be bought (read it somewhere) as an add on for Titanium AT, then elephant in the room would be no 6 airbags. For someone who is stickler for details, there's no ISOFIX, TPMS, SYNC3? and god knows what.

In its current variant lineup, Ford has simply taken away the joy of buying a top end variant. I feel a grocery shopping expert is doing the variant planning/strategy at the Ford

Unfortunately, if AT is on your must-be list, then you must forget the complete S lineup / sunroof and if AT with paddles are on the list, then neither Signature nor S trims would be available. I completely agree with you that Ford has really made it complex for its customers to perceive the bucket list of feature pack for each of the variant / trim. Hope Ford shall come up with a much comprehensive table on its brochure / website for us to understand the feature list thoroughly.

Cheers,
Vijay

Ford's website says that Signature and S versions have 352L of boot spavewhile Titanium+ has 328L. Can someone throw some light on how did they achieve this?

On another note, there is only a Rs.5000/- difference between Signature edition and Titanium+ and you get only a sunroof, bigger alloys and some visual enhancements but lose 4 airbags, auto headlamps, auto wipers, cruise control, Sync 3, My Key and leather seats to name a few. I guess Titanium+ makes a lot more sense than Signaure edition.

Ecosport variants - I think they are following how Creta variants are placed. No matter what, you are sure to loose either Features, Money or Peace of Mind

Signature variant - This is actually add-on pack for Titanium variant with close to T+ price point, loosing 6 airbags but adding ESC, HLA, TCS. Ford is trying to pull people towards Sunroof novelty factor, they have WRV example to prove that. Unsuspecting customers would definitely fall prey to this, 6 airbags/SYNC3 are not going to hold candle to Sunroof and Sweet Alloys.

S variant - This is the new Top end variant and is definitely going to pull people who don't comprise anything less than top variant. This variant also falls bang into Creta territory warranting a look at Creta for a little larger car. S gets HID over halogen projectors.

Titanium+ will only appeal to people with sensible/rational thinking (they loose swell alloys, sunroof and large MID with chrome rings).

Yes, it is quite the conundrum! What it will actually do is make people think about Creta, Yaris, City and Verna again and again, and basically confuse everyone nice and properly

Big thumbs up to Ford for enthusiastically carrying on with the 'S' moniker with changes that matter for enthusiasts and for not making it just another sticker job!

Does the S variant come with a stiffer suspension & quicker steering rack? Read the same in a news article.

I know about this company. They have a partnership with TATA Motors to perform field/road reliability tests for all TATA cars. In 2017 December I happened to make a stop for tea after Khambatki ghats, I met the drivers from Jayem Auto. They got my attention as they were talking in Tamil. I had a little conversation with them and came to know that their daily job is to drive TATA cars from Pimpri plant till satara and back to Pimpri. By then there was a mix of Hexa and Tigor, counting to more than 5 cars. While driving they make note of any abnormalities in the car behaviour, parts etc and report back to TATA Motors R&D.

I think Jayem Auto are also the forces behind Tata's performance variants, Tiago JTP and TigorJTP.
