there is a possibility of this being the pickup version of the new TATA safari
Possibilities will always be unlimited; but this sure isnt the next Safari; if I've understood TATA's thought-process over its evolution.

Does anybody have any reports on the internal mods done to the new Tata TL. e.g. the rear seat comfort etc.

This one is a good model, except the rear seats are a bit cramped with not enough leg-room or head-room.. And the fact that the rear seat is a bench-seat instead of a sofa or a cushion like the safari... Wondering if TATA has made any changes to the rear seating of this vehicle at all...

I was sold-out on this vehicle last year until i sat on the rear seat and felt the 2.0L engine a quite underpowered..

The rear pillar/window me of the Honda Ridgeline, for some reason.

This is an absolute "Dude" machine. It looks fabulous..but I did find some resemblance to the Ford F Series pickups. I remember some magazine publishing spy pics of this truck on the expressway.

This body + New Safari Engine + 7 Lac OTR Tag :

I love the TL Sprint & the blue van thingie standing next to it. Hope it makes it to production - Tata definitely need a revamp of their image in the urban markets at least.

Is this a new platform? if it is tata should consider making the safari based on this. Like the Ford endeavour. They can use the same platform and reduce costs.

I think it is near enough certain that this is based on the Safari replacement.

Indica and its siblings are the perfect example of platform sharing. Tata is a master in this, no doubt. This might be the next safari. If its not.....if they are designing such good looking pickups then i can't even imagine what the next gen safari will look like!!!

OK so let me get this straight.
TATA is going to sell the old pickup (Load beta) as well as the new Sprint TL side by side and both are going to have the new 2.2 liter 140CV engine?

FIAT as also interested in badging this truck as their own since they dont have a pickup truck.

Fiat is going to sell a rebadged version of this truck in Europe and South America. A 3.0 L common rail diesel with 157 horsepower is also expected.

More on this here.
