Always happy to see a carmaker issuing proactive measures. After all, a car is an amalgamation of 1000s of parts made from 100s of vendors in multiple assembly lines.

As long as the company owns up and fixes this issue, I have no bad things to say.

Has anybody received a recall yet? I did inquire at Sabarmati Ford but they were clueless about it. Mine is a Nov 17 manufactured facelift 1.5 Titanium + AT so am expecting a recall. They haven't received any communication yet from Ford. While recalls show good intent from a manufacturer to correct the flaws, it definitely is not a good feeling from a buyer's perspective after having put more than a million bucks on a new vehicle.
