Re: Nissan Sunny Special Edition launched at Rs. 8.48 lakh

Looks like Nissan need all the help they can in the Indian market considering their low sales numbers(estimatedly less than 200 nissan sunnys sold last month ).Also evident is the closure of showrooms and dealerships at an increasing rate. Its sad that a company that does such mass good sales outside is failing to connect with the Indian drivers despite offering relatively good products. Lets hope the upcoming Nissan Kicks does something like what Duster did for Renault. Also heard about Nissan putting good effort into their EV lineup and technology. Of which, the most talked about car recently is the Nissan Leaf. Only time can tell how well these new vehicles will fare in our market.

10 or 15 years ago, base & mid variants used to have grey or black interiors with black steel wheels while premium editions used to have beige interiors with silver (alloy) wheels.

But these days, base & mid variants have beige/greige interiors with silver (steel or alloy) wheels while premium editions have black interiors with black (alloy) wheels.

Just another "am also here" update from Nissan. No real feature update; just cosmetics and nothing meaningful maybe other than the Nissan Connect. How long are they planning to churn out the same old Micra and Sunny for us? Is there any next-gen Sunny under development?

Anyways, looks like they have borrowed the ICE from Blaupunkt, same way Honda has been doing for its Jazz, W-RV and City off late.

Sure some Ola cabbie is going to get this at huge discounts! Look forward to be riding in one of these cabs to the airport soon!

Seriously, who is Nissan kidding? Some stickers and black alloys and suddenly the car will appeal to private buyers?
Even for Ola Cabbies the Etios makes fat better sense. In spite of all the criticism the Etios gets it gets the job done as a cab! The sunny seems not to be as a abuse friendly as the Etios.

Re: Nissan Sunny Special Edition launched at Rs. 8.48 lakh

What a ridiculous looking edition. A spoiler, red colored tapes and black alloys, really Nissan. Time to get back to the drawing board and understand the current market pulse. The Sunny did okay for itself during its initial days being projected and sold as a supremely comfortable and spacious mid-ranger ( specially the back seat). Somewhat also made sense a second inter city chauffeur driven beater car. But that time is long gone.

Looks like someone joined Nissan from Maruti's 'special edition go faster stripes' team.

Some of the updates are rather nice, but its too late to try and wake your dead car up. May be Nissan is trying to clear off the stocks.
