This is some thing I have been thinking for a while, most of the indian cars lack the features ABS and Airbags that are capable of saving lives in an accident. Just wanted to know what the forum thinks about this.

I'd personally love to have Airbags and ABS on my car (of course my car is not equipped with ABS and Airbags at the moment, this is some thing that has been on my mind for a while and there does not seem to be a way I can get them fitted on my Petra).

ABS - Yes
Airbags - No (Not worth it in Indian city traffic)

I need both... Both are kind of necessary... Having extra safety is always good.

ABS most definitely. airbags maybe not. they have their pros and cons.

Yes, ABS definitly, though Airbags also desirable!

Everyone would like to have it... The question is are you ready to pay hefty amount for ABS and Airbag...

Nice question dude. Yes i would pay for it if they comes in at good costs and i dont feel manufacturers are scamming with huge load...

There does not seem to be a single person thinking it costs too much so I do not want it. Lets wait and watch, only less than 20 members have voted so far.

The cost of ABS+ airbags would make an alto as costly to own as a wagonR... :(

Both ABS And AirBag for safety.

ABS certainly very useful in many situations. Airbags only if they can bring the replacement cost down to a reasonable level.

There's no option for voting for both.

I want them and I have them. Wouldn't buy another car unless it had them.
