Despite popular opinion and hot speculation, I doubt if ix25, in its current (or maybe slightly modified) form will make it to the Indian market. Too rad a design. I'd rather bet on the relatively sober version as highlighted in the IndiaCarNews blog:
https://www.indiacarnews.com/news/in...ndering-35349/

I had an uncamouflaged real-life picture of this version on one of my SD cards that unfortunately got corrupted.

I had seen the test mule just outside Devanahalli, Bangalore yesterday and that car looked pretty much similar to the one which was shown at the auto expo.
Identified it by the rather weird looking tail lamps and venue-ish alloys.I couldn't take pics as I had to take a left turn towards nandi hills.

I really doubt if India would get something so different from the Chinese version. They might tone down some elements, but the cars are fundamentally the same. All spy shots of camouflaged cars point in the same direction.
However,I quite liked the front of the above render, but the rear was horrendous, like some cut paste job on the elite i20.

Probably. Coming to think of it, I probably received the images for the new Santa Fe. All the sober renders were apparently inspired by that car. But still, somewhere in my heart, there is a feeling (call it hope, maybe stupid:) that ix25 won't come in the same form in India

So this grotesque creature might see the light of the day in India? :Frustrati

Looks really ugly from the front...kinda like the Fiat Sienna from 15 years ago. The rear and interiors look great.

Knowing Hyundai, mild hybrid will be teased but will never make it into production. Neither will ventilated seats. I suspect Indian's won't like the appearance of the car, and may likely buy previous generation Cretas and the Seltos instead.

I feel the SUV looks really nice & drool worthy in these shades
Especially like the new blue shade

In terms of interiors, the new car adopts a more fashionable design style, and the large beige interior is complemented by black and chrome-plated elements, which enhances the overall home atmosphere. The central control section is equipped with a large-size screen and is decorated with a large number of painted panels to enhance the sense of technology and fashion. In addition, the new car is also equipped with Baidu Intelligent Network 3.0 system. In terms of power, the new car is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 115 hp and meets the national six emission standards

Thank you volkman10 for sharing this info here. :thumbs up

One thing I am observing that is also a bit confusing is the fact that these pictures suggest a rear disc brakes on the new Creta. And so does the latest scoop pic of the I20.
But the soon to be available Verna does not seem to be offering the all round disc brakes (or am I missing something here?).

If these do make it to the Indian versions, I'd be really glad that Hyundai are bringing back the 'All Round Disc' trend that they started. clap:

ix25 look around and drive video

Another drive review video

These videos show ix25 with panoramic sunroof, automatic transmission, big vertical touch screen, full digital instrument clusters
but still does not get Adjustable rear headrest and neither rear parcel tray.

Hyundai iX25 with 1.5L + CVT,
If there is a "Brighter" side to this facelift, IMO it has to be the exterior and interior symmetry...

Creta Facelift seems to be just as Quirky inside as it is outside!!! :Frustrati

But one thing that ONLY HYUNDAI (and now KIA) ALMOST ALWAYS DO, is introduce some segment first features, which the competition wakes up to and start offering eventually. But of course, by this time though, the Korean giants would have already raked in all the moolah. :D

This is one design which will grow on you. I am liking it for all it’s quirkiness and all I can say that, It’s different ;-). Just like the maggie hot and sour chilli sauce which was despised off at the time of launch stupid:
Hyundai has really taken a big leap on the basis of the great work they have done in the automotive industry and gone forward by launching a quirky yet pleasing design which I foresee to become another best seller. My two honest cents :-)

The design seems nice and sharp edged. Masses will like it. The interiors seem so Darth Vader’ish!

Countless members on this forum say the Nexon's rear is overdone. We'll have to find a new superlative for the ix25's rear if Nexon is overdone. :uncontrol

Although - I like the rear of the ix25 for sure. Sharp & quite uniquely sculpted. Face, well its not to my tastes but I don't hate it either. I like all cars :D.
