In Canada, they sell Sahara in Unlimited only at the moment so for a 2 Door Wrangler, you have to order either a Sports or Rubicon. It rides almost the same as the older generation, my son drives the older generation Sahara- 2 Door so I am pretty certain. When compared with older Sahara, it's definitely quieter, faster even in the Rubicon trim, though I am sceptical about the On-Road performance on our Roads. We didn't try the Unlimited.

Thankfully for my son, it's not worth spending 20-30K extra for the upgrade. He is happy with his Sahara JK, good for me

Why not just call it JEEP? That's how the entire Indian population is going to call it; its what the brand image signals and recollection is 100% on that name.

And I guess the Thar move-out is for the entry of this vehicle. Looking at the 65L pricetag, price-conscious folks interested should really get the limited 700 edition asap or buy that used Jeep they have been evaluating. Prices will probably go up for the Thars in the market.

The new generation Mahindra THAR needs something like this, a 5 door version.

Haha these aren't pics of a Rubicon!

They've gotten trims and descriptions wrong countless times in the media already, so go figure.

Re: Scoop! Jeep Wrangler Rubicon spotted in India

The next gen Wrangler is slated for India launch on 9th August 2019, as per this Motoroids article.

Quote:
The Jeep Wrangler is undoubtedly one of the most iconic SUVs available in the market. This rugged off-roader has been built to tackle the toughest terrains on any road surface imaginable. This icon of an SUV will soon be made available in the Indian market, on the 9th of August. The fourth-generation model called the JL generation Wrangler, would be replacing the JK generation model which is currently on sale in the Indian market for around INR 75 Lakh.
