re: The all-black Tata Harrier

Is it the 4x4 version?
Difficult to believe any further tuning as they are sourcing it from outside and not made internally.

re: The all-black Tata Harrier

Power is here to rule. Guess the keyword here is Power.

4x4/AWD is not possible. If they were to provide it, they would have launched the 4x4/AWD variant of the Safari first. Maybe Tata might introduce a mild hybrid system or a petrol engine which produces more than 200hp?

All that aside, most likely Tata Motors might be providing wireless charger to "Power" your phones along with some other gimmicks.

If they bring out a mild hybrid system or petrol engine along with 4x4/AWD system, this would be a runway hit, However, IMHO, seeing the latest market trends and less sales of 4x4 vehicles in this range, i honestly think Tata shouldn't mass produce 4x4 variants, but rather hit a targeted number of bookings and then start making it. Would love to hear all of your opinions on this. And i do agree with you that it might just be a wireless charger pad. Otherwise there would have been some scoop somewhere

No offense to any owner here. This is one reason I don't trust Tata or Mahindra and their marketing style. Well I hope Tata will not be doing something like below with FCA engine

Agree to this, Sabareesan. There can't be major mechanical changes to the drivetrain. However, chances of launching a mild hybrid system would also be slim. If there were any such possibilities (either in tuning or mild hybrid), the new Jeep Compass should have had it, considering it to be a more expensive car. I think they would trim down the dark edition variants and change a bit of interior comfort features. If there were major changes coming up, we would have seen some leaks of it.

However, if this vehicle is getting more power, it would be a beast on boost and have to be even more scared of it on roads compared to the current dark edition.

re: The all-black Tata Harrier

Tata Motors today released a new teaser for Altroz Dark edition - "The Bold is here to rule"

So the word Power in Harrier's teaser doesn't refer to any mechanical update. It's just a term used to differentiate between other Dark Edition models.

Harrier - Power
Altroz - Bold
Nexon - ??? - We will get to know tomorrow and the launch is happening a day after.

re: The all-black Tata Harrier

No rear disc brakes, no ESP, no auto hold. I doubt if there are any worthwhile changes in the drivetrain. Looks like minor cosmetic changes here and there.

re: The all-black Tata Harrier

The Dark Harrier looked tastefully done with chrome bits.

One Indian manufacturer took inspiration from Cheetah and Sharks, other is taking inspiration from Kadaknath Chicken.
