The Grand i10 NIOS was launched on August 20, 2019. At present, the car is offered with a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 82 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. A 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder diesel unit that puts out 74 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm @ 1,750-2,250 rpm is also available.

It has been reported that the CNG variant might get a BS-IV version of the 1.2-litre petrol engine. This engine is available in the regular Grand i10 CNG and produces 80 BHP and 110 Nm of torque. When running on CNG, the output of the engine drops to 65 BHP and 98 Nm.

Re: Rumour: Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS to get CNG variant

One good thing about Hyundai is that the company offers factory-fitted CNG kits. These are usually the safest & the best tuned. But with CNG currently priced at well over 50 bucks / kg & the usual disadvantages, I expect very few buyers for the variant.

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios now even gained a CNG variant that is available in Magna as well as Sportz trims.
Prices of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG start at Rs 6.63 lakh, while the Sportz trim costs Rs 7.16 lakh. This makes the small car as much as Rs 73,000 costlier than the equivalent petrol trim.
The Hyundai Grand i10 CNG is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre Kappa engine that produces a maximum power of 69PS and a peak torque of 95Nm.
