The roadstar should be an easy match for Omni as a product (not A.S.S). The engine being double the size may not match its FE.

Is Premier Automobiles dead -- probably not

I travel to work from one of the city to another in Pune daily and get a chance to see a good number of test mules!! in the city roads and highways -- ofcourse i unlike tushky am ill -equipped with a camera ;but last week i got lucky with an unusual vehicle from premier automobiles doing rounds near their plant in Pimpri at PCMC chowk . i was close to the vehicle and had my camera phone handy so could take a quick snaps for this LHD vehicle (mostly for export markets) from Premier automobiles.

here are links to the snaps :

Thats the Van version of the "Sigma". Truck versions of the same are already out I guess (the one before this van on the 3rd pic). Sigma is based on a old Mitsubishi (not sure of the model). Mostly using the TUD5 Peugeot engine?

The rear windscreen says LHD. Guess it's export only? If yes where?

Yup, the Sigma has been around for a while and is majorly composed of "borrowed" parts. A light from here, an engine from there.....

Its a disastrous vehicle that has no right to stay on the road. Maybe thats why Premier is looking at exports to some neighbouring countries.

Boy, they are taking for ever to launch it. IIRC it had the Ambassador ISZ diesel engine made by HM. They are probably short of funds to start production.

my god - its struggling to even bring out bad vehicles.

in past cases of assembled vehicles (san storm types) the fit an finish have been pretty rough. This seems to be another example?
