Hyundai has updated the i20 Active lineup in India to meet the new safety norms. The 2019 model year i20 Active is priced from Rs. 7.74 lakhs (ex-showroom). There are no changes in the styling and in the mechanical front.

The updated Hyundai i20 Active gets standard safety features to meet the new government norms. These features include reverse parking sensors with a rear-view camera, speed alert system and driver and passenger seatbelt reminder.

Other safety features include standard dual front airbags while the SX variant comes with additional side and curtain airbags. ABS is standard across all the variants. However, ISOFIX child seat mounts are offered only with the SX trim.

Updates to the new i20 Active made it dearer by 2000 rupees:

Now that's a surprising move, when people were expecting this model to be discontinued, in the wake of the Venue's grand success. Haven't seen a new one around since a long time. Nonetheless, an interesting option for people who like the i20 for what it is, but need the additional GC.

I really wonder how many would pick this over the Venue!
