So structurally this is not the same car and the old car's 5* rating will not apply in this case. GNCAP will have to test the car again or TATA will have to send the car again for testing if they want to advertise the 5* rating.

Thanks. Valid points. I just panicked a bit.

Have no doubt that even with the changes to the facelift they would meet or exceed the erstwhile rating. Their base models have all the safety kit which might just improve things a bit when the car goes for testing.

True. It is still one of the safest cars in the market (just not backed by an official GNCAP rating and hence, we should not assume).
