Re: Ford EcoSport Titanium AT variant launched at Rs. 10.67 lakh

I get your point Viddy, but FORD needs to focus on volumes in these budget category... you know the road tax in KA goes to 20% for cars >9.99L

How can Ford bring down the OTR price but making some features optional? like Alloy wheels and Head Unit for instance, that can be fitted OE from the dealer. Hello! Is someone from Ford listening?

For one the Ecosport is over 200kgs heavier than the Freestyle. With the smaller engine and the lower torque there is no way the 1.2L engine will pull the Ecosport comfortably. It would be a terrible car to drive and would totally lose it's appeal.

The best part about the Ecosport and Ford was that they took a stand to get an engine that this 1.2 ton crossover deserves and didn't go after profits by plonking an underpowered 1.2L engine. Honda is suffering because of this. They have 1.5L VTEC motor but still decided to cash in on the 1.2L for the W-RV.

You are basically saying remove the biggest highlight and USP of the Ecosport vs the competition which is sacrilege if you ask me.

What can we expect in terms of mileage for the automatic? The BS-4 automatic was a guzzler, returning single digit FE in city traffic!

The BS6 version’s ARAI FE has been revised downwards for Ford Ecosport as well as Aspire. So, if anything, the FE will be the same or slightly less than the BS4 version!

Its rumored that next gen Eco Sport will get Ford Bronco Fascia. It will be really great if that happens. Rendered image below - doesn't look like a Sub 4 M SUV.

It is photoshopped with Land Rover Defender headlights. Don't think it's real.

I completely agree with @sanyog26. I have booked the 2021 ES and feel it is still better than most of its competitors. Although a lot of features have been deleted from the titanium+ variant the fact that it puts a smile to your face whenever you drive it is enough for me to choose this car. The Venue 1L turbo petrol comes quite close but the interiors made me think twice. The nexon AMT is very jerky and unresponsive. Whereas the Kia sonet top variant is priced more than lakh than the titanium+. Kudos to Ford for believing in their product. Also the parts and service costs have been kept in check by Ford making it a strong contender even after 7 years of its initial launch.
