Considering current economic situation and low numbers for Bolero in last few months, i think this is good move. Many Bolero users are anyways not buy it for fancy features, it's basically used for rough use in rural areas. Hope they will do some better numbers with this model.

Off topic - Mahindra needs to get new model for Bolero now. Its in the market for long time now. After all people wants & like new things.

Almost all the articles posted on auto magazines for Bolero B2 have been taken down including the zigwheels link mentioned, And I don't see this variant on Mahindra's website either.
I could find only IndianAutoBlogs article still up mentioning this variant

I think the engine is 2.5L as against the 1.5L being mentioned in the news article. An 1.5L won't be able to generate 210nm at 1600rm anyway.

Why not? They already have one that generates 300nm at 1500 rpm -

There are quite a few from Ford, Hyundai and others that generate/ generated beautiful torque pretty at nice low RPMs!

So I have to ask considering how the manufacturers claim that they have internal crash tests as per Government standards. How is this ageing vehicle passing one in 2020?
