My mobile number is not linked to my Creta. Previous owners mobile number still shown. Due to this not able to order HSRP for my car.

I tried updating it on https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/ but facing issue.
After providing all details till Aadhaar and phone number nothing happens after clicking 'update mobile number'.

anyone faced issue like this and any help on fixing? Help would be appreciated.
My car if registered in Pune, Maharashtra.

The 19y old beauty gets the new HSRP. Process was smooth. RTO data was already digitized in vaahan due to re-registration done earlier. The fitting centre was Satav Auto, Wagholi. Plates reached them two days before the appointed date. In old bullets, the rear number plate is part of mudguard/tail-light combo- so they drilled the holes on top of it. Got SMS later that numbers are fitted on the vehicle and old plates are "returned to customer on request".

I had got my plates last week. The fitment guy said I will get a SMS in three days that old plates have been destroyed and new ones have been delivered. So far no SMS. Where can I check? Vahaan site?

You should ask them to destroy the old plates for you in your presence to prevent the possibility of misuse. Anyway in my case the old ones were handed back to me. Now I wonder how to have them destroyed.

Since you're in Pune head over to the RTO at Sangam Bridge and have a word with the clerks to update it for you. You may need to pay a fee.

At the authorized centre for other vehicles along with mine they were keeping the old plates and stating the same. Anyways I have kept a pic of the bent out of shape plates of my vehicle.

I did face this issue. Although nothing happened after completing all the procedure (to change the number), but it seems like my number was updated.

I used a different laptop at my home yesterday and I could place the order without any issues. You can try the same.

I am registered on MH14 and the fitment center is Deccan Honda PCMC (although this dealership is closed now), I still need to find where will they ship my plates. The appointment date is 27 FEB 2025.

I took the plates back home and have kept them safely till such time I think of a method to destroy them.

Not sure if just bending the plates would work, one could just straighten them out and reuse.

Here's my recommendation - try and get those plates back in your custody or ask the fixing agency to show some proof of destruction. Not sure if this is practical now that the agency retained the plates but you could try.

Sincere advice to those getting HSRP for their vehicles - please ask for the plates back or have them destroyed in front of you. Only bending them may not be good enough.

I just followed what was posted here.

After installation:
Old plates are broken and retained by installer.
Clicks picture of broken plates, HSRP number plate and 3rd license plate.
Uploads those to Vahan portal for verification and completion of job.

Someone had mentioned the vahan portal was down in the previous posts. Will see what to do next. Maybe other Bhpians can post their experiences regarding the old plates.

Obviously these fitting agencies are following their own script. This guy i.e. the one I went to, was handing old plates back to the vehicle owner.

PS - All I got was a SMS from the plate manufacturer confirming the HSRP plates were fitted from a company named Rosmerta. Neither was there a confirmation of destruction nor was there an instruction on the receipt about old plates being retained by the fixing agency.

Still cannot access the Vahan portal for Maharashtra state selection. Updation of mobile number on RC not possible without access. It's been over a week since this is non-functional. Typical babu negligence.

Alen, facing the same problem. I have raised a ticket on the vaahan site for this issue.

It is an unhandled exception in bootstrap.js, BTW!

Update on this - the MHHSRP website allowed me to proceed with the appointment even though the mobile number did not match... It did warn me on SMS that mobile number did not match...

Tried mhhsrp.com , entered the details for MH04 but keep getting stuck at the Please Wait message after putting the details such as Engine and Chasis no.
Does anyone have any idea of the agency for MH004 or how to get the below issue sorted via mhhsrp.com
High security registration plates (HSRP) in India-hsrp.png

Got the appointment yesterday for Hsrp with Shivam autozone for 11 Feb.

For a call today from Shivam Autozone and was informed that hsrp order will not be processed by them since they are a Nexa Showroom and hence do not entertain other brand cars. This is just pathetic from Mhhsrp.:Frustrati

Raised the issue via email and call and am now awaiting a resolution.
Hoping that my money hasn't gone to waste.

I had an appointment with Sumankirti Baner Pune for hsrp, called them, they said number plates have arrived. Went there, was asked to go to RTO department, the guy handed over the plates, I asked him who will fix these on my car? He said the guy is not present today.
I told him I called you before coming, he said we don't get money for affixation, it is between you and government.

I showed him pdf where it is clearly mentioned, hsrp won't be handed over and would be affixed by affixation center. He said we are delivery center, affixation is the website from which you ordered, I told him that is in borivali, do you want me to go there?

He said as per your comments, yes.

I asked him who is your manager? After that he told me check if someone the affixation guy is there at the ground floor.

Went there, talked to the guy, got the number plate holder for 500, the guy affixed the plates, he was an old guy so gave him some money for affixing, left.

I was thinking of raising a complaint against Sumankirti as I was aware of the rules but not everyone would be. People who are old or people who have little knowledge might just take plates and come home. No doubt it's a screw fitting so not a big deal but still it has been mentioned on the pdf that they should fix it for free.

Please share your thoughts if I should just raise a complaint to Maharashtra grievance email shared on the pdf.

There were couple of Sumankirti employees who came to me after listening to my discussions and asked about hsrp and what it is and also took website link from me to request their hsrp.

I also think that no one at Maruti showrooms have idea what is HSRP. People at reception did not even know what I was saying. As advised by few already, please get the old plates with you and keep it or destroy it yourself. The guy who helped me with fitment said that customer come to me and I fit the plate, I don't know the rules but I just help them as it is 5 mins job.

If you don't get any response for your complaint and you have the receipt which says you have to go to Shivam Autozone, my suggestion would be to please go there on appointment date and atleast collect the number plates. Let us know what you hear from the authority regarding your complaint.
