They have updated the website but still of no avail. Affixation centre's mbile number mentioned on the website is unreachable for last two weeks.
There is a weekend- only installation camp at a place on golf- course road. I ordered my plates today, they take 1-2 weeks to make it. You will receive a message when it is ready for installation. After today's visit, I believe it has been going on there for a few weeks at least.
Documents needed- RC/photocopy of RC/picture of RC. The owner need not be present.
They are doing Delhi registered vehicles as well.
Price for Gurgaon is 670rs and Delhi is around 1200.

:eek: HSRP for cars cost Rs. 213/- from authorized centers.
There are comments from Gurgaon and Delhi. Nothing from Bombay. What's happening in Maharashtra?
I am in Bombay & my car plates are MH12 (Pune). What should I be doing to get HSRP plates?

Yes, it costs below 300 at the gurgaon RTO. Even the bill says so.
However, these guys are at a more convenient location, and faster too. Thus 2x margin for HR nos. And 4x for Delhi numbers.
I know it's wrong but most people prefer to go to a place close by on a weekend than the crowded/unorganised RTO on a weekday.
Just went and paid the amount for the same for my 2011 Altis. Overall a mixed experience. They have designated different offices based on your registration number from DL1-DL13 with detailed address, person incharge and his number and Email ID. But the number goes unanswered and no reply to the Email either. I went to the DL4 office ( my car is DL4) only to be told that my car needs to go to another centre (ironically very close to my house) since the RTO mentioned on the RC is different.
All this could be easily avoided. They should have made the list on their website according to the area of residence and not according to the plate. Also they needed only a photocopy of the RC and ID proof ( didn't even check originals). This could have been done online only and maybe linked to Aadhar if there was fear of duplicate/false documents.
Lastly no receipt was issued and the guy just gave his cell number and asked me to call him on Saturday to enquire about the status of the plate and then come and get them fixed.
And yes the Fees is Rs. 213 only as mentioned on the website.

Some RTOs in Delhi are just now gearing up for HSRP, so what are they up to. First get them onto new cars before trying to retrofit. At least that is my view.

Didn't get this point. How the area of residence is correlated here?

The List is made according to DL1-13 zones. Mine falls under DL 4 as per the list, the office for which is located in Janakpuri. But on reaching there, they told me that my RC was issued by the Raja Garden RTO ( which is DL10 in the list) and I need to go there instead as my area of residence falls under a different zone other than DL4.

Yeah, there is a sort of mess of affixation centre's number series listed on website. But I believe it's not related to area of residence but to issuing RTO. Instead of categorising the list into DL1-13 zones, they should have categorised it according to issuing RTO or should have mentioned those messed up series too like DL10 category's title should have been DL4 and DL10. A few other series are also messed up.
Confirmed by the RTOs they are still to start.
UP is issuing certificates to the effect that they are still it issue HSRPs.
So is it not a case of jumping the gun!
Typical Bharat Sarkar.
I went to DL 9 Zone's affixation centre yesterday. Reached there at 5:15 PM. The guy was taking down the shutter though the working time mentioned on website is from 9 AM to 6 PM. He asked me to come between 10 AM to 1 PM to pay fees and place an order for the number plates which will be fixed 10 days later on between 2 PM to 4 PM.
By any chance, Would anyone know when this rule would come into effect in Chennai? Been hearing stories that it would be implemented soon but no one has any idea on the exact date!

Could you tell me where in Gurgaon is this being done. I need to get this for my old Jazz and I need to replace the front plate on my Volvo. The front number plate broke off half in one of the flooded drives I had in Gurgaon this monsoon. Thanks.

50 metres before the 55-56 rapid metro station if you're coming from Golf Club. Location is the office of a local councillor.
Hard to miss, you'll see small crowd and line of cars.
It comes in pairs, so you'll have to take the front and back one for your Volvo.
