It sad to see that no one has mentioned the Duster's steelies.

I have owned one and they suit the car's character more than the alloys one the higher trims. This with the woodland brown was a recipe for beauty. I'm sad that I sold it now.

This XUV that used to be parked near my place looked quite dope with these steel wheels and butch tyres. The modification was definitely an overkill but at that point it was quite eye catching.

As soon as I read the title, I remembered Youtuber Doug DeMuro' s video about his Land Rover Defender. He talks about how he wanted steel wheels for his new ride, but could not get them as they were not available on his desired variant. Here is a link to his video. He talks about it at the 4:13 mark.

I think British roadsters of the early 60s just look brilliant with spoke wheels. Steelies look good, but the spoked wheels just look magnificient.

I've seen multiple pictures of off-roaders with that type of tyre - it looks like a tractor tyre. Is that what it is? That tread pattern doesn't look very tarmac ready.

Gypsy steel wheels looks awesome in Ambassador/LandMaster and even the Nova type with radials. I like the ones in Padmini & Contessa a lot too. With chrome rings, they all look sweet.

I like Gypsy wheels in Amby so much that I wanted to buy 5 of them and just store it before they are out of production. I don't own an Amby at the moment to put these on though :P.

Also, I like the ones in Maruti Esteem/Zen Gen 1, the 13" ones with boomerang shaped holes on them.

From the latest cars, I believe white steel wheels on most SUV's would look good especially Duster and of course the new Thar.

I liked both the Altos' (red + silver) caved-in steel wheels with wider tyres. Do they have an offset too? Where can I find these wheels to sport it on my Punto's 15"?

I would like to add Hyundai steel wheels with the plastic H logo slapped inside. They have a lovely old school Merc-ish look. Secondly, I love the Mahindra Major jeep's steel wheels. They are so ruggedly butch.

Back in Saudi Arabia, youngsters get their brand new cars and remove the rim caps or alloy wheels immediately. They have some strange kind of fantasy with clean glossy black steel wheels and shiny black sidewalls. Even if the vehicle is absolutely dirty, they love to keep those steel wheels in sparkling condition.


The most interesting part is that they use a commonly available soft drink called 'shani' as the tyre shine for their tyre sidewalls.

This Audi A3 looks hot in those black steel wheels. I'm not sure if these are company fitted or the owner decided to take an aftermarket route. None the less it's a looker!

The BMW M1's steel wheels were a thing of beauty. They integrated well with the retro-futuristic (almost Cyberpunk ) styling of the car.




Mini Coopers on steel wheels also look quite good.
