In search of his first car! Sachin Tendulkar looks for his Maruti 800

In search of his first car! Sachin Tendulkar looks for his Maruti 800-sachintendulkarmaruti800.jpg

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is a major automobile enthusiast and most of us know that. What most of us do not know that Sachin’s first car was a humble Maruti Suzuki 800, which he bought in the late 1980s and over the years he sold that vehicle to upgrade the garage just like rest of us. But Sachin is missing his first car and fondly remembers it. Earlier this year Sachin said in an interview that he dearly misses his first car and appealed to the viewers to help him find it back. Is it back? No, Sachin is still looking for it.

Talking on the Mudit Dani YouTube channel, Sachin said that he sold his first car years ago. There was a rumour that Sachin Tendulkar still has his first car but that turned out to be wrong information. While there are many well-restored and well-maintained Maruti Suzuki 800 from that era, there is no information on Sachin’s car at the moment.

My first car was a Maruti 800. Unfortunately it is not with me right now. I would love to have it back again with me. So people listening to me, feel free to contact and get in touch.

That’s really sweet of the Master Blaster and totally understandable by someone like me! After all, your first ride will always be your most special one.

He should have disclosed the registration number and the colour too. However, a photograph on Team-BHP gives us the number. But the RTO application says ‘No Results Found.’

Chances are that the poor thing has been scrapped by now. Very less likely to be transferred to some other state.

Correct me if I’m wrong but my guess is that it could be a Bright Blue coloured one.

As per some sources the car was red in colour.

This isn't the M800. It's an early esteem or a Maruti 1000 IIRC. Many websites are wrongly using this image and linking it up to the M800 story

Oh man, I bet he has seller's remorse. The first car is always really special, especially after you have "made" it in life. Sort of reminds you where it all started & when the initial money came in.

Odds are though that the 800 has been scrapped & doesn't even exist today.

It's an Maruti 1000 in the picture. Not a M800. The door pad, dashboard, B-pillar clearly shows that it's and 1000.

However, as GTO sir said, the M800 in all possibility has been scrapped long back.
