The Ford EcoSport now gets a sunroof in the Titanium trim as well. Half of the EcoSport variant line-up now comes with this feature.

Prices for the 2021 line-up of the EcoSport start at Rs. 7.99 lakh for the petrol and Rs. 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel version.

The EcoSport comes equipped with features such as automatic headlamps with daytime running lights, electrochromic mirror, sunroof, rain sensing wipers and up to 6 airbags. Most variants get a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit, while the S variant gets an 8-inch touchscreen that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The crossover is offered with FordPass connectivity tech at no additional cost. It uses a factory-fitted cloud-connected device that enables the user to remotely lock, unlock, start or stop the vehicle using the FordPass app.

The EcoSport comes with a choice of petrol or diesel engines. The BS6 compliant 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine produces 120 BHP and 149 Nm of torque and is paired with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The updated 1.5-litre diesel engine makes 99 BHP and 215 Nm and is offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Don’t understand why does Ford keep altering the variant lineup every 6 months!

The Titanium AT was launched few months back and now it’s gone! Why did they launch it then?

While this is a good step, they should have taken this opportunity to introduce Carplay and Android Auto in atleast the Titanium and above trims. With the Kwid having Carplay and Android Auto and costing 5L Rupees, it is an absolute shame that customers paying 13L for an Ecosport are devoid of this feature.

Does anyone know if diesel or petrol AT with Sports pack would be introduced with the upcoming facelift?

Thanks

The prices have been reduced up to 35k for few variants ?? Competition is red hot I suppose

Facelift will definitely raise prices above the current ones. Hence, the discounts/reductions being offered now would most likely be valid till the facelift comes in after a few months. Good time to pick up an Ecosport, in my view.

Agree. On similar lines, it would be great if ISOFIX anchors could be provided on the Titanium/+ variants as well. I was really keen on the Ecosport Petrol automatic but the lack of these two features is a real deal breaker.

I was seriously hoping that Ford will tune up the engines or bring some more goodies with the new variants. It seems they are desperate at the moment and with all these trimmings and alterations, they are trying to woo potential buyers. Their Product ecosport is already a hit one, but then like any other product it has its shortcomings. It would have been better if they work on the same and then try to launch it again as a new version

What about Cruise control? Is it still available only in the S variant which crosses the 13 lac mark on road?

Have they put in ISOFIX and child seat anchor points? Last I checked, only the S variant had. One has to be so careful while buying a car in India. Random features are missed out for no reason

Cruise control is limited to the S variant and the Titanium + AT.

That's still available only on the S variant.

Went through the brochure. Seems like Titanium+ MT has been silently discarded.

So Ford India has also succumbed to the charms of The Great Indian Customer's Love For Sunroof :) (in a country where for 9 months in a year we are roasted at 35 deg C plus!)
The EcoSport sold in Brazil has an All - Wheel - Drive option. And with Renault withdrawing its Duster All - Wheel - Drive from the 2020-21 lineup, there seems to be a large enough product gap for this kind of a model/variant.
But, then, who wants a competent car like the EcoSport to become more dynamically well balanced with the addition of an AWD setup? S-i-g-h!:crying

As per the 2021 brochure, safety features like EBA, ESC, TCS & HLA have been added to Titanium trim also. Previously they were available only on Titanium+ and S.
Sadly SYNC3 is still available only on S. Ford should at least integrate the very useful Android Auto and Apple Car Play to the FlyAudio system.
