LTA makes that much of your income tax-free. So, if your LTA is one lakh, it makes 1 lakh of your 10 lakhs expense as tax-free, so the max refund will always be 30k (or whatever is the tax bracket you come under).

No, you enter the amount in the regular LTA column. This LTC scheme was offered last year in-lieu of the regular LTA and hence it was referred to that way.

I was trying to file my returns this year and couldn't find clear instructions to claim this LTC cash voucher thingy. I entered 1/3 of my spend from 12-Oct to 31-Mar on eligible items but is there any way to upload proofs or await scrutiny and then submit? Just enter the amount in the LTA field with no description of any sorts possible either? My company did not accept this change in their process and asked employees to claim in ITR.
