Sure! A friend of mine in Pune got the vehicle in just 3 weeks after booking. It's a 1.4 Prestige gray color. However, Since it would be primarily for your parents, I would recommend to go for Prestige Plus as it has curtain blinds as well.

I am not promoting Carens but just wanted to provide some inputs based on your requirements.

re: Rumour: Maruti Ertiga & XL6 to gain new features. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 11.29 lakh

I spoke to 2 different NEXA guys in 2 different cities. The training for XL6 and Ertiga Automatic transmission is going on these days. And I've got conflicting information.

City 1-
  • XL6 as well as XL7 is on cards.
  • Possible 7 seater as XL7.
  • Automatic is 6 speed AT with paddle shifters.

City 2 -
  • Only 6 seater XL6.
  • Automatic transmission is 6 speed AGS with paddle shifters.
  • Maybe 6 airbags.

Now if it comes with AGS, it'll lose few customers who are waiting for a substitute of Carens. If there is a proper 6 speed AT, Carens will definitely lose customers as I know a few people who have booked Carens but are waiting for XL6 and Ertiga facelift. And 6 airbags is a must if Maruti wants to keep up with the competition. Moreover, XL6 competitors are available in 6 and 7 seater configurations. High time Maruti gets in the XL7 which is already sold in Indonesia.

The new K15C 1.5-litre petrol delivers 115hp, which is 10hp more than the outgoing powerplant. A five-speed manual will be the standard transmission on offer, a six-speed torque convertor automatic will be offered as an option.
Quote:
While the launch date for the Ertiga is yet unknown, the price for XL6 is likely to be announced on April 21, 2022. We are told that the Ertiga facelift will launch in the coming days, just before the XL6
The new K15C DualJet engine made its debut overseas on the Vitara SUV. For India, the 1.5-litre DualJet will not get a hybrid option but will come with integrated starter generator and auto-start stop system, which is seen on the Celerio and the Baleno, among other Dualjet tech-equipped models from Maruti Suzuki.

I'm not expecting a hike of more than 60K even though there is introduction of 6 speed TC AT with paddle shifters. Reasons:
Maruti was already charging a premium 1.2 L for the 4 speed TC AT currently used as it was imported. Even VW/Skoda's 6 speed AT with paddle shifters costs 1.3 to 1.4L in Kushaq/Taigun. Also, Maruti has probably localised the AT gearbox production in India as planned earlier. So, I don't see any additional cost increase due to new AT gearbox.

As for other improvements like ESP, 4/6 airbags and few other features which might become standard equipment, coupled with increasing metal costs, I think ex sh. prices may increase by 50-60K.
