HUMVEE headed to India!!

Buckle up, and get ready to enjoy the ride. The Grand daddy of 'em all...the Mighty HUMMER...is set to come to India. Just saw pictures of their stall in the Defense Expo 2004. Its said that they are talking to some Indian auto manufacturers (I'd presume truckers) on bringing their product to the Indian shores. I would guess that they will opt for the CBU route, keeping the extremely limited numbers in mind. Their mainstay would be the defense market, with the odd number picked up by a an enthusiast or two!

Get ready to see Hummers storming the road in and around army camps.

Thats great news. Nothing like a Humvee to grace the so called Indian roads. Apart from the Army spec vehicles, i do hope they offer the road version for the Indian enthusiats. Hmm I wonder if they would lend it to me for a day, I'd go on a rickshaw crushing spree and still return it to them in mint condition.
