I don't belong to TCS. But escalating to higher ups in HR department may help.

Has anyone got a BH registration done in Maharashtra (Pune) post 20th Feb? Looks like they are not providing BH numbers to private employees now even if they provide all the documents requested.

Tax renewal and payment link has already come up on the Parivahan portal....The process is quite seamless to be honest.

Thanks for this post :thumbs up. My tax was due from 28-Mar and I paid the dues today. The process is really seamless and the tax credit reflected in the RC instantly

Did the portal automatically throw up the tax amount as well (once you input your vehicle details) or is that something you had to self calculate and feed in please? Presumably, it was the exact same amount you paid at the time you bought the car? Any minor differences there?

Thank you.

There is a dedicated thread on this, see https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/india...ments-now.html

The list of requires documents is according to Govt jobs, not private sector. There is also a joining letter required after transfer to new state. As per my knowledge, private companies do not provide a separate joining letter for a location change.

In my case the 2 yr tax amount was exactly the same as I paid during registration. The portal will display the amount you need to pay. And that’s not editable I think.

Mahindra SA here in Nagpur is stating that "BH registration has been on hold temporarily " citing to some Govt GR. Googled and found nothing significant. Is this true or just pure non sense.
BTW have booked Scorpio N in Sept 23 and was planning delivery in April/June.

There is a significant new regulation from MH government for BH as mentioned above. Refer to this thread

Hello members,

I had registered a vehicle under BH series at Delhi RTO. Now, I want to sell it to a BH non-eligible buyer in Delhi.

However, the RTO as well as parivahan portal is clueless as to how the transfer can be done.

The MLO/RTO passes the buck saying that the transfer can be done online only. However, there I could not find any such link/option for BH to non-BH transfer within same state.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thank You.

As per my knowledge, there is a new rule by which you can convert existing state registered cars to BH if you satisfy the criteria. A link that I can find from internet given below.

Hello friends, Does anyone tried to convert existing state registered vehicle to BH registration?

If yes, please guide me to do the same. Please give step by step instructions.

Thank you.

Hi all, any state is calculating BH RTO based on basic price (instead of ex-showroom) ? Dealerships in Mumbai, Jaipur and Vadodara are clueless about it!

Thanks.

There is no provision as yet to convert the state registration to BH registrations since the a. Road tax is already paid for b. There are certain criteria for BH registration.

Pune in MH is calculating the road tax applicable for BH registration based on Ex show room prices minus the GST i.e at the Factory prices. Good to show to the dealer the first BH notification which clearly mentioned the formula to calculate the taxes.

As per the last notification, BH registered vehicles can be sold to a BH registration criteria fulfilling individual only. The transfer of ownership has to be done online. It is not clear how the system will recognize the criteria suitability of the new owner OR does the local RTO first verifies the criteria suitability and then allows the online transfer coz the changed ownership RC will in any case be issued by the local RTO only.

Guess I spoke too quickly. There is a notification from MORTH in this regards, attached for ready reference. There is a form 27A which needs to be filled up for the same, attached for reference.

The related information is
Quote:

(4) if at any time, owner of a vehicle registered in regular series of any State or Union Territory becomes eligible for BH-series as per clause (ca) or (cb) of sub'rule (1) of rule 47 and owner of such vehicle opts for registration mark in BHseries for such vehicle, then owner of such vehicle shall apply in Form 27A for assignment of registration mark in BHseries to any registering authority of the State or Union Territory in which such vehicle is currently registered or place

https://legal.economictimes.indiatim...%20BH%20series.

Encouraging ruling by Bombay High Court.

Hi folks, has anyone been able to transfer ownership of a BH vehicle?

I am looking at picking up a BH registered vehicle from another state. I can get form 60 from my employer. My current domicile is Bangalore, and I would like to retain the BH number plate as re-registration in KA makes the whole deal pointless (from a cost perspective).

Any idea how I can go about this?
