Good pricing IMHO. Under 10L with a sunroof and alloys, cruise control. N6 should sell well. Makes absolute sense to buy that.

Edit: Highline of Polo is under attack. Not Comfortline.

Found it a little weird that the N6 has wireless Android Auto but the N8 doesn't.

It's because none of the 10" Hyundai infotainment variants have Wireless Android Auto. Only the 8" variants have it.

The N6 is based on the sportz trim I believe, which gets the smaller 8 inch touchscreen with wireless AA and CP. The N8 which is based on the Asta trim gets the larger 10.5 inch unit with Bluelink.

Re: Hyundai N Line performance models to make India debut in 2021

The pricing looks quite competitive to me I must say. ACI has a comparison with the standard i20 and here is how the price compares.

Quote:
N8 DCT 11.75 lakhs
Asta (O) DCT DT 11.40 lakhs
Link

A 35K premium looks more that fair given the improvements over the standard model.

Now what should I do with the RS!

Drive on,
Shibu.

Re: Hyundai N Line performance models to make India debut in 2021

To me the price seems alright for the upgrade over the existing normal i20.

For the extra 35-90k you get:
- All 4 disc brakes
- Sportier steering and suspension
- N-Line badging on the exterior and interior
- Exhaust with a sportier note
- Different set of alloys

Now the existing i20 already being overpriced is a separate matter, the N-Line packs in a decent punch. Atleast it’s better than the difference between a Highline Plus Polo vs a GT Polo, where the GT misses out on a few bits compared to the Highline Plus even after being more expensive!!

Re: Hyundai N Line performance models to make India debut in 2021

excellent pricing IMHO. Will this become a tatkal model if they are able to deliver this sooner than the regular i20 (I do not know how long is the waiting period of the regular i20 though) like the i20 Active was once .

Re: Hyundai N Line performance models to make India debut in 2021

The i20 N6 iMT is priced lower than the regular i20's Asta iMT. For the lower pricing you get Cruise Control, All Disc Brakes, ESC and Hill Hold control, Sportier exhaust note, Wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. I think the N Line is priced well. But you do miss features from Regular i20 Asta iMT as well, compared to N6 variant.

Re: Hyundai N Line performance models to make India debut in 2021

Just had a look at the car as I’m at Hyundai dealership for taking delivery of my Venue after it’s 3rd service. The car definitely looks more sporty than a normal i20. Even the blue colour looks good, it straightaway reminded me of the purple colour if Zen from 90s. Quite similar colour to that.

Thanks for sharing the price details. That is very competitive and comes as a pleasant surprise below what some people were suggesting as an excuse for not buying it. Even the XUV 700 pricing was unbelievably competitive, even more than i20 N-line in my opinion. However, I believe, price is not an issue if you genuinely desire a particular product and the symbolism/impression it creates in your mind. Case in point would be a Polo GT Tsi Torque Converter above the Highline Plus variant and people do not mind paying a premium for that GT badge.

I sincerely hope some other specialised ownership and service privileges should be added with the N-line variants without being disrespectful to regular variants' ownership experience.

Re: Hyundai N Line performance models to make India debut in 2021

Very interesting pricing from Hyundai. A difference of just 35k over the ‘non N’ i20 turbo makes the older variants pretty irrelevant. I expect some line rationalisation from Hyundai in the coming months where the non N turbo variants will be discontinued.

N will be the way forward for the 1.0 GDI in the i20 at least.

Re: Hyundai N Line performance models to make India debut in 2021

Good pricing. I expected the DCT N-Line to cost almost a lakh more than the regular top-end Asta DCT. 35k is real reasonable the set of upgrades on offer.

Same is the case with most other Hyundai/Kia cars. Only the smaller 8 inch unit supports wireless.

Interesting pricing indeed! Seems worth paying the extra amount for the upgrades on offer. Wish Hyundai really gets their cars ncap tested and scores atleast 4*.

Re: Hyundai N Line performance models to make India debut in 2021

They should have given a proper red themed analog instrument cluster. I absolutely hate the digital cluster on the i20 and Verna. It gives the car a very toy'ish and cartoonist look.
