New car launches in India in November 2021

The month of November 2021 is expected to witness a number of new cars being launched in the market. Here are all the important ones.

2021 Audi Q5

Audi has revised the Q5 SUV and is expected to launch it sometime this month. The German carmaker has already started accepting bookings for the 2021 Q5 for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh.

The new Q5 will be offered with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and the Quattro all-wheel-drive system.

Jaguar has started accepting bookings for the Jaguar I-Pace Black - a special edition of the brand's first all-electric SUV. The I-Pace Black comes with the 'Black Pack', offering a host of blacked-out elements all around the exterior and interior of the SUV.

The I-Pace Black uses the same electric powertrain as the standard car. It packs two electric motors that produce 396 BHP and 696 Nm. These are powered by a 90 kWh battery pack that is claimed to deliver a range of 470 km on a single charge.

Maruti Suzuki is all set to introduce the new generation of its Celerio hatchback in the Indian market. The new-gen Celerio hatchback has already started arriving at dealerships, indicating a launch in the coming days.

The new Celerio is expected to be based on the fifth-generation Heartect platform. The car is expected to be offered with 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engines, while transmission options might include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT.

Mercedes-Benz could be bringing in their AMG A45 S hot-hatch in the Indian market. According to reports, the Mercedes-AMG A45 S is scheduled to go on sale in India sometime around Diwali.

It will be imported into the market via the CBU route and will be powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that pumps out no less than 415 BHP and 500 Nm. An 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission delivers all that power to all four wheels via the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.

Electric Mini Cooper SE

Mini has started accepting bookings for the Cooper SE, the brand's first all-electric offering in India. The fully-electric Mini Cooper SE is based on the 2-door premium hatchback model and can be booked for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.

The Mini Cooper Electric uses an electric motor that has an output of 184 BHP and 270 Nm. It is powered by a 32.6 kWh battery pack that is said to offer a range of 203-234 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle).

The Porsche Taycan has been confirmed to go on sale in the Indian market on 12th November.

The Taycan is powered by two electric motors - one for each axle. The Turbo variant packs 671 BHP and 850 Nm. It has a maximum range of 450 km on a single charge. The Turbo S variant has 751 BHP and 1050 Nm. It can cover 412 km on a single charge.

Volvo XC90 Mild-hybrid

Volvo is expected to introduce a mild-hybrid petrol version of its flagship XC90 SUV in India sometime this month. The new XC90 mild-hybrid petrol model will replace the current diesel-powered version, similar to the S90 and XC60 models introduced last month.

Volvo is yet to announce the exact power figures of the mild-hybrid version for India.

Skoda Kushaq Style AT Variant

Skoda will update the 1.5L Style AT variant of the Kushaq with 6 airbags and TPMS soon. The two features were previously offered only on the MT version of the 1.5L Style model. The updated variant of the Skoda Kushaq will go on sale sometime during mid-November.

The 1.5-litre TSI engine on the Skoda Kushaq produces 148 BHP and 250 Nm and is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.

Apart from the introduction of the updated Kushaq variant, Skoda will also be unveiling its all-new Slavia - although its launch is expected sometime early next year.
