Re: MG India to export Hector to Nepal as part of South Asia expansion plans

Yeah. Saw their ad in local media yesterday. MG has a good fan following here in Nepal because eZS is a quite value for money car and the waiting period is over 3 months. It's quite possible Hector could cash in that. Seltos, Creta and to some extent Kicks are popular in that price bracket. Hector would give a large car feeling for the same amount of money. MG also has another car called HS (or maybe something rhyming). EZS and HS are imported directly from China.

Re: MG India to export Hector to Nepal as part of South Asia expansion plans

MG Motor India begins its export journey with Hector shipment to Nepal, eyes right hand drive markets including the UK and South Africa for global exports.

Quote:
Rajeev Chaba said, "Though at present, there is a shortage of chips, we need to prepare ourselves for the long term. We wanted to expand our base and make India as export hub for neighbouring markets,"
Quote:
“Nepal is the first country but we are actively exploring other countries in the region, namely, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Bhutan. Also, we have got enquiries from the UK because the UK is a right-hand-drive market. So, we are also exploring the opportunity of exporting the MG Hector to the UK," added Chaba.
