Kudos TATA .....!!!!

I think, this is the first car in Tata stable, to reach this milestone in such a short duration.

That is some achievement. The facelifted Nexon looks so good. Nexon can sell itself solely on the basis of looks in my opinion. It's front end reflect more character than anything else in that segment.

How I wish Tata give it a torque converter instead of the AMT. The top-end variant now costs close to 16L in my city and comes with just two airbags. In spite of all that they managed to sell 13k Nexon in January. All it needs is a torque converter and curtain airbags to steal a large portion of Creta twins.

Does that mean that the just launched Kaziranga editions have only the color and rhino badge as 'exclusive' features? Isn't this a marketing blunder?

Typically special editions are either test beds for cosmetic updates and/or some creature comfort features or marketing strategy for models lying in the manufacturing plant for some time and not allotted to any dealerships. I maybe wrong here but looking at different special editions from different manufacturers for quite sometime, this is what I could understand. Moreover there is a segment of buyers who’d prefer an exclusivity over the standard models and these special editions will fit their bill.

Doubt it. The Tiago crossed the 3-lakh mark faster, and even quicker would be the Indica which at one time used to sell 10,000+ units / month.

But yes, you could say this is the first relatively higher-priced Tata to cross the milestone as fast. It's no budget hatchback like the other two .

So very happy to see such useful premium car features entering the mass market. Heck, many 50+ lakh cars even today don't offer ventilated seats as standard.

It's the same as with the Safari gold edition. The exclusive features were soon available in the regular range. I see no blunder here. No point keeping features exclusive to limited edition. Most limited editions across brands are merely cosmetic in nature.
