Skoda Kushaq Style NSR variant launched at Rs. 15.09 lakh

Skoda has introduced yet another variant of the Kushaq. The new 1.0 TSI MT Style NSR variant sits below the top-spec Style trim and is priced at Rs. 15.09 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Kushaq Style NSR misses out on a few features compared to the top variant. It does not get a sunroof and also misses out on rain-sensing wipers and auto-dimming IRVM. The 16-inch spare wheel has also been replaced with a 15-inch rim. That being said, Skoda now offers Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as standard across all Kushaq variants.

The Kushaq Style NSR is available with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. This engine produces 113 BHP and 178 Nm.

Skoda coming up with different variants based on their available inventory. Not many sunroof's in stock? Let's launch a pre-top end variant without sunroof. Could be due to the chip shortage. They are trying everything to keep the showrooms running.

So NSR means No Sun Roof! How Simply Clever can be that?

A good a variant IMO- No Sun Roof is a feature some might not want or willing to skip but not miss out on all other top spec bells and whistles, auto dimming IRVM can be retrofitted, so can the spare tyre. Rain sensing wipers are again a gizmo IMO.

Re: Skoda Kushaq Style NSR variant launched at Rs. 15.09 lakh

When they launched, the Style variant came with 6.5J x R17 rims and 205/55 R17 tyres and spare is of R16. Ambition and Active came with 205 x 60 R16 for regular tyres and spare is R15.

Now with this Style - No Sun Roof variant, the tyres remain same (R17) and the spare becomes R15. Am I right? If so, will it not create problems even during the limited emergency drive situations using the spare tyre?

The difference with Style is only Rs. 20,000/- and it is better to choose Style itself due to the availability of Rain sensing wipers and Auto dimming IRVM and higher sized spare tyre apart from Sun roof just for 20K INR. Both of them are above 15 Lakhs and there won't be any road tax differences in any states too.

Finally, they could have given a proper variant name. Earlier Active peace, Ambition classic and now Style - NSR. Probably this is also a stop gap variant so that no one bothered about a name.

They might have increased the profile to keep the overall diameter unchanged.
