Tata Nexon XM+ (S) variants launched; priced from Rs. 9.75 lakh

Tata Motors is now offering the Nexon in a new 'XM+ (S)' trim, with prices starting at Rs. 9.75 lakh (ex-showroom).

The XM+ (S) variant slots between the XM (S) and XZ+ trims. It comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 4-speaker sound system, cooled glove box, rear AC vents, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps and a digital instrument cluster; among others.

The Nexon XM+ (S) is offered with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 118 BHP and 170 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel unit that puts out 108 BHP and 260 Nm. Both engines come paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT.

XMA+ (S) Petrol AMT – Rs. 10.40 lakh

So now Tata has discontinued the XZ Petrol MT variant too.

Why discontinue XZ and then introduce XM+(S)? I don't understand the logic here. They could have simply revised the XZ variant. They could've made that as news too. I don't the see point in the feature and variant juggling.

XZ got discontinued and XM + (S) variant born.
A few of the features of XZ has been adopted into XM variant and then renaming it as XM+ (S) variant.

I remember when I Purchased Nexon in Sep 2021, the Sales Person had informed me that the Best selling model of Nexon is XM and then XZ+ variant.

As per him there are very few takers for Nexon in XZ variant and Silver color (which I purchased).
Eventually both Nexon's Silver color and later XZ variant got discontinued.
