The Cayenne Turbo GT is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 632 BHP and 850 Nm. An 8-speed automatic transmission is employed to put the power down to the tarmac. Porsche claims it will do 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and can reach a top speed of 300 km/h.

Inside, the Cayenne Turbo GT gets sports seats with Alcantara upholstery and a 3-spoke steering wheel with a 12 o’clock mark in Racing Yellow. In the centre is a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

To create the Turbo GT, Porsche had to make a few changes to the chassis of the Cayenne. It now features a 15% stiffer suspension with revised dampers and anti-roll bars. The SUV comes equipped with a rear-axle steering system and carbon ceramic brakes.

My dream car Some day it will be in my garage.

Just wanna know if spending so much money on a car is worth in our country where it can’t even be used to 20% of its potential.

Dare I say, pricing is not TOO bad if speaking relatively compared to the Urus which is selling like hot cakes despite.

Would be the sensible pick for a true enthusiasts who doesn't care about the Lambo flash value. Proof:

It beats the Urus in all tests besides the brake test by a small margin.

Re: Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT launched at Rs. 2.57 crore

The Cayenne Turbo GT, Urus and the RSQ8 use the same base 4.0 V8 engine from the VW parts bin. The only difference between the cars is the additional bit of tuning / suspension / chassis modifications that are specific to each make.

Unlike Porsche’s and Lamborghini’s sports cars whose engines not available on other marques.

From my drive of the Urus:

Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT is the new Performance SUV of ICE world.

Its a known fact it makes more horsepower & torque than Lamborghini Urus but since latter is the more premium brand, VW wouldn't allow Porsche to say it.

Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT is a beautiful car due to its coupe shape, almost like a 911 on stilts.

Beautiful car but at that price, a Maybach is a much better buy. I know they are two entirely different cars but while one can use all the luxuries of a Maybach, only a fraction of Porsche's prowess can be put to use in India. It is also very dangerous if such a beast is driven by an inexperienced neorich guy

If playing cards in AirConditioned rooms is better than doing off-roading in the sun, then you are right

So, if you are a driver, I don't think anything else can bring this kind of Joy.

And as mentioned by Sahil, I find the prices pretty competitive; unlike other models, a lot is standard. You hardly need to add any extra options. There were limited slots for our market; I heard all are taken.

Check this review and note the comments of Mat; he tells every journalist must at least try driving this.

According to reviews the rear wheel steering is what makes the URUS handle like a hatch.

In actual fact nothing could be further from the truth. If you expect a 2.2 ton SUV with a CG that competes with the Empire State Building and 650 bhp on tap to handle like a hatch then you’re severely underestimating the powers of the laws of physics.

Of course the URUS is brutally fast, good in a straight line, and has that all important SUV presence but go around corners exploiting all that power and it gets a bit iffy and doesn’t give you the confidence to put down all the power it’s got.

But then no 2 ton SUV will. And the fact that Lamborghini has dipped into the VW parts bin to pick up the main component (the engine) shows that they really aren’t interested in putting in too much money and time on R&D as the intention behind these SUV’s is to make some money to fund manufacture of their super cars.

A BMW 330i will run rings around it on the twisties and will give you a lot more confidence on the straights. So if you’re a sedan guy you will find this SUV lacking in areas of extent of confidence at high speeds, cornering and control of body roll.

Handling like a hatch?? No way!

Have scheduled a longer drive of the Urus along with another drive of the car, maybe a proper review after that..?

As per my contact, there were only 2 slots for this year. One was mandatory with Paint to Sample, and the criterion for allocation was maximum loading . One of the cars has around 1 Crore of extra options.
