the palio is available in 1.2 only so i suggest you go for a sport or a used 1.6.
the petra only comes in 1.6 and in 1.9 deisel so depending upon your needs choose one
the diesel has not been launched yet but is expected to do so in some time

It is amazing to know that Fiats car really doing well in India. I am in UK currently and the general opinion over here about the Fiat cars is not very good. These cars are always strong and show no problems for at least 2 -3 years but after that the car needs to see its doctor quite often. Interestingly enough I haven't met anybody in my company who have kept Fiats any top or lower models for more than 4 to 5 years.

However I think this Palio model is going like a hot cake and if the Indian market says that car is really giving good performance then its worth paying attention. As a middleclass family man I would always think of resale value and the long lasting of the car.

Now from your views Palio/ Petra is my first choice and then Santro would be the next.

Actually Fiat cars are selling way below what the company expected, and arent exactly setting the sales charts afire.

That said, it is the most superior B segment automobile available today.
