Cyrus Mistry, Former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry dies in a road accident, says Palghar police.

He was reportedly accompanied by 3 more people and were returning to Mumbai from Ahmedabad. 2 of them passed away on the spot and two have been shifted to local hospital.

But this accident seems serious enough to take 2 lives? On the spot? That too in a GLC? Even the safest cars, cannot alter your fate. You can only hope!

I will go conspiracy theory on this accident. He was a legend in making. How could someone so important be so neglible about his own safety and drive without pilot car. OM Shanti. This needs a thorough check up and maybe some sense gets into MoRTH to design safe roads.

That is very tragic!!

Let the facts come up. As the vehicle didn't suffer much structural damage, the usual suspect is the occupant not wearing a seatbelt while taking the back seat.

From what I saw, there was no front head rest in passenger seat. Whiplash or unbelted ?

RIP! Hope his family and friends get the courage to overcome the loss. Sad indeed.

Apart from TATA chairman fiasco, he never got into any bad press or scrutiny. Nor I have seen or read him flaunting his family wealth (unlike other few rich familes). Such a high profile person who is worth billions should have atleast a pilot and a sweep car for safety.

Grim reminder that our roads show no mercy to anyone. Each KM of our roads hide so many surprises. But I believe that nothing is going to change unless accountability is made mandatoy for every governmental work. I will stop my rant here.
