Different number on Driving License and Sarathi Portal

I am about to go for an address change on my DL. My DL was issued in erstwhile AP and the address change would be to Karnataka. The license number on the card starts with APXXXX but on applying through the Sarathi portal, it changed to TSXXXX with XXXX being a different number! It is the same thing I have in Digilocker as well.

Would this cause issues at the Karnataka RTO? Of course, the photo, and signature would match but the number is a thing. I am not able to use the fully online, Aadhaar-based process as my photo and signature are not available in the online database.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation where the number on the DL and one on Sarathi were different? I guess it could happen with very old licenses.

As expected different numbers did not cause any issues. As long as one submits back the original license and proof documents, the process is smooth. Biometrics and photo capture was done at the RTO and all the approvals have been completed. Waiting for DL printing and dispatch now!
