For the Z2 variants, the 50k difference is a STEAL !!!!

Just 50k more and you get lifesaving ESP with hill hold. And alloy wheels and rear AC vents to boot.

This was expected as the new GNCAP protocol requires features like ESP to be optional on all variants and eventually become standard within 2 years. The OEM has to give an undertaking to comply before the star rating is given.

Seems like these cannot be booked online, just tried doing so. Only via dealers, I guess dealers must have been up in arms after the surge of online bookings so Mahindra has thrown them a bone so they can please their loyalists.

Autocar mentions that only additions are ESP and Hill-hold assist for Z2 & Z4 manual trims. Same was the case with XUV 700 as well. Alloy wheels being offered in Z2 seems to be a misprint.

If the Rear wiper is offered in the Z2 variant, it would have completed the VFM proposition of the car. Wonder why they skimp on necessary features like these.

It is deliberately done. They always omit one or two critical features to push you towards the higher variant on which they make more margins.

A little birdie tells me this = news was circulating in the upper echelons of the auto industry about Toyota pricing the Innova Hycross very competitively. This was a move by Mahindra to combat that.

More than anything, this car needs split folding last row seats and sliding 2nd row seat. Boot space is almost nill.

Excellent! This was much needed especially for young old-school types like me - who don't want a touch screen, sunroof and zingy features but only that powerful petrol engine with a manual transmission and with the safety features like ESP - great move.

A decade since XUV5OO launch and more since Scorpio launch, Mahindra has still not been able to figure out how to fit sliding middle row seats.
