Not too sure if this is necessarily good news. GM dealers will suck your money big time..
Where did this come from? Any experience you have or just hearsay?

Just got this bit of news that Chevrolet india has decided to give service and spare part support to existing daewoo matiz.Just walk into any existing chevrolet outlet and they would do the needful.Spare parts have been taken care of by getting them from korea.
It's indeed a great news. But before I start building up my expectations, I would really like to hear from a Matiz owner who has got his car serviced recently at a chevy showroom..

This is surely good news, even if the chevy service is a little expensive (provided the quality of service is good).

If it works like they say it is, this is a classic example of a win-win situation:

1. Matiz owners are happy since spares / service wont be a problem anymore.

2. Dealers are happy with the additional business to their service centers.

Plus, there is the chance of increased foot-falls, exchange schemes and upgrading within the Chevy family. Good move.

matiz spares

The other day i was getting my matiz serviced by a local mechanic and there was this requirement for brake pads. so I went to the chevy service center here in vasco and asked for a set. I was told that they do not have spares as yet for the spark so would not be able to supply me the same. I eventually got a set of taiwan make and they are fine so far.
moral of the story - GM is not ready for the spark let alone the matiz

We called both Chevy dealers in Bangalore and they seem to be unaware of this development. Anyone else tried it?
