Windshield cracked (1 feet) in my Indigo (4 months old). It was parked below a mango tree.

Dealer says:
1. Maybe its broken due to mango fall. It was a small mango tree, btw.
2. Due to air pressure (sunny weather).

Which one do you guys think? Has it ever happened in your/your friends car? Does it happen in all cars?

Dealer is asking me to use claim insurance. Total cost expected is around Rs. 7000.

yeah may be due to pressure... but seems quality of glass is really poor as the weather is same for all other cars too.

isn`t it.

dont know, ikon has the recirculation mode which is power activated ie it closes only when ignition is switched on, dont know if this helps in hot air escape also.. maybe if u cant avoid parking in HOT sun maybe put the recirculation mode to outside air, this might help???

i think it may be an old crack due to speeding over potholes and that crack might have got increased in sun and air pressure
