Kia Carens Luxury (O) variant launched at Rs 17 lakh

Kia has introduced a new variant of the Carens. Prices for the new Luxury (O) trim start at Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Carens Luxury (O) is positioned between the Luxury and Luxury Plus trims. It comes in a 7-seater configuration and gets a few additional features over the Luxury variant. These include a sunroof and ambient lighting that changes based on the drive mode.

The car also gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cooled cupholders, curtain airbags, 16-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels and disc brakes on all four corners.

The Carens Luxury (O) is available with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 158 BHP and 253 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel. While the former is mated with a 7-speed DCT, the diesel motor is offered with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This variant does not get a manual or iMT option.
