160 PS turbo petrol would be overkill for your main requirement. The 115 PS HTX IVT is IMO more than sufficient for City specific duties.

Can't comment on safety aspect. But my sister has been using car seat of the seat belt type for her Tiago, and there have been no qualms yet.

Since ISOFIX is a must for me, i am looking at HTX+ imt or GTX+ DCT (HTX+ DCT doesn't make any sense at all).

I have used car seats for my twins in my older cars which didn't have ISOFIX. Proper 3 point seat belts were good enough and never faced any trouble. AFAIK, it should not be a deal breaker but may be others can also chime in.

That is mainly for me to enjoy occasional highway or morning drives

I found 115PS engine not too fun to drive and the auto hold and 360 which comes only with GTX+. The black and white seat interior sucks even in person but then with all added features, don't want to go for HTX

GNCAP rated the Seltos under the 'Safer Cars for India' program, so they ended up taking a base variant / close to base variant of the Indian Seltos for test.

Under this, at the time of test - features such as ADAS, etc. didn't make a difference to star rating - which is why Kushaq, Nexon scored so well despite missing these features.

In reality - there are primary safety devices such as good brakes, ADAS, etc. which help prevent / reduce the impact of accidents - I can see quite a few where ADAS may have helped prevent / reduce the severity of accidents; and then there are secondary safety devices such as airbags, etc. which help on impact. The Seltos theoretically scores well with ADAS, but not as well on the secondary safety front; and though one may be a safe driver - the risk is also of those around you driving vehicles negligently (maintenance, attention, etc.).

Here’s a quick look at how the Seltos facelift stacks up against the Taigun, Kushaq, Creta, Hyryder, Astor and Grand Vitara.

Got it. It helps if KIA gives more assurance on this.

One of my friends has booked the new X Line and it's only because of ADAS 2.0 that they are going ahead with Seltos after the skepticism with the older Car's rating.

But Fantastic Pricing by KIA here.... There's hardly 30k difference vis-a-vis the older XLine where it was expected to be a Lakh Premium for the ADAS.

I am one of those nincompoops, would never buy a Diesel car plus 115 vs 160 PS

IMO, Kia should have additionally offered at least the Pewter Olive color for the X-Line. Sage Green seats will go well with this exterior color, I guess.

Re: 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift, bookings now open. EDIT: Kia Launched at Rs. 10.90 lakh

I am in a dilemma whether to take the plunge or not, with my only consideration being the HTX IVT version. Since I am losing out on the ADAS, ventilated seats, large display, tinted side glasses,ISOFIX and more, the 20 lakhs + - onroad Mumbai price doesn't seem attractive for me anymore and makes the car look overpriced and under-specced.

What is 'My convenience'? Is it for the Kia-Connect support?

Details on what accessories kit is?

Also no mention on how many years of extended warranty (assuming it is 5 years)?

So GT Line for Turbo Petrol/Diesel is 25 OTR

Which one would be a better choice - Seltos HTX IVT or Grand vitara alpha+ AT . Both of them is in the similar price range.

HTE DIESEL is the most value for money, though 2 Din music system has been removed, and 40k less than the earlier version .
