On my recent trip to Chennai last weekend I noticed quite a few Ford Fusion's being driven around with their badges covered. The car now seems ready for production soon as they have been testing it for ages (as per the reports in the auto mags).

As my regular digicam has quite on me, these pics are from my cam, hence the shabby quality.

Excuse the bear hanging from the taxi's rear view mirror!!

no zoom on the cell!!

The Fusion is much smaller than it appears in the pics. Its about the length of the Indica and its not a very appealing design atleast from the side. I like the front and the rear is interesting with those long tail lamps.

Ford needs another model desperatley...can you believe they have been selling a single model for more than 5-6 years now!! How long can they depend on the Ikon to carry their sales?

They need the Fusion and fast.

What a find from our very own spy photographer! One of the best finds yet...Good stuff Rtech.

Ford India does need a new model desperately to take it through the new milleniums first decade. It is ugly...but very practical from what I have read. Is this becoming a trend in the Indian market now? Would be hardly surprised if the current 1.6 Rocam is offered as an option on this car.

cool find rtech

I guess india isnt ready for such type of cars. The Fusion has been undergoin tests for more than 2 years in India I guess. I remember seeing the pics in OD. Even Honda and GM have kept their MPVs on hold.

Nice pics Rtech! I remember seeing a camouflaged Fusion on my last trip to Chennai some 7 months back!
