hey fellas ,

this is a gr8 piece of news ....

i had a Honda Siel Cars team visit to our factory today. and speaking off the record , i spoke to a delegate about how the new city was doing so well. I also told him that though the car was great , its odd exterior shape and style wasnt liked by all especially the car lovers and the younger generation. also honda lovers were missing the vtec engine.

And .....the reply was ...just wait for a while.....

THE HONDA VTEC WILL BE BACK AND NOT IN THE PRESENT CITY BUT A NEW SHAPE CITY THAT WILL BE A SEDAN TYPE MODEL (similar to the old shape but an improved design) !!!!!!

the power of the vtec is also to be increased substantially.

but but....this model is coming arnd DIWALI 2005 (november) not before that

and no plans for a small car yet.....the civic will be here somewhere in the middle of 2005.

now isnt this fantastic ???

cheers

REMEMBER U HEARD IT FIRST HERE !!!

hmmm...I wonder if he means that the Vtec will be here in the Civic??? it seems odd that Honda would give the existing City a facelift so early in its lifecycle, especially when it is selling so well.

Anyways...either way, its only good news for us!!

Nov 2005? no probs, can wait, the Wagon R will be old by then, Lol.

Even if the Civic comes with a powerful vtec/i-vtec engine, it would be great.

Honda : Please give us the Civic with atleast 130bhp!!!150bhp will be more than welcome.

Regards..

So there really is someone up there who listens to my prayers!

Jokes apart, I dont know how Honda will fit this in. As has been already mentioned, its highly improbable that they will facelift the NHC. The older City is out of the question. That leaves us only with the Civic...which will surely come soon.

I think your contact was talking about the NHC Vtec variant which has already been covered with pictures in this link.
