Wohoo!!!

Way to go Mahindra!!! Until I saw the teaser, had a doubt whether it was just a facelifted version of the Bolero Pik-up.

This really looks like a concept for a modern pickup truck. (Pray it is on the Gen3 BoF platform). With Mahindra's relative success in foreign markets, a pickup version of the ScorpioN would be awesome. Only thing I could make out is a thing of least interest. A normal sunroof.

a slap on the face of the other local company who has abandoned BoF and leaped towards modern era

Could this be the redesigned Thar for export markets being shown as a Pick-up ?

Very unlikely. The Thar is too short to be repurposed as a pick up truck in my opinion. This must be either a completely new product or based on a longer SUV (Scorpio-N/XUV700), if repurposed from an existing model.

Woah, Mahindra is really hitting the right chords. Am sure Jeep is carefully tracking Mahindra’s growth. One key thing missing is their own identity like how Jeep has got their own. It’s time for Pratap Bose to do what he does best!

The scorpioN would be pretty decent as a pickup. It is a bit too cramped and uncomfortable as a 7 seater SUV but it should be a decent life-style vehicle since it's fun to drive. Especially if they extend it a bit.

Codenamed Z121, the new pickup will be based on the Scorpio N platform but with a longer wheelbase to accommodate a larger load bed. For reference, the Scorpio Classic has a 2.6-metre wheelbase, whereas the pickup version – called the Getaway in India and the Pik Up in South Africa and Australia – has it extended to just over 3 metres.

On the production version, which is set to arrive only by early 2025, expect single- and double-cab body styles and a regular as well as a tray-back bed, which is popular in some export markets. Also likely will be a powertrain line-up derived from the SUV, so petrol and diesel, manual and automatic and 2WD and 4WD could all be offered. The Scorpio N based pickup will use the Pik Up moniker but, for now, it’s not clear if the new pickup would replace the current model, or would sell alongside it.

Mahindra can make a strong statement about how this pickup is pretty much going to be tailored to South Africa, a region that loves pickups – or bakkies as they are locally called – and a market of rising importance to the company

So it is based on the ScorpioN platform. Looking at the grille, for a moment feared it would be one of the latest addition to Mahindra's half a dozen BEV concept.

Gives a déjà vu of TATA's venture in the Thailand market with the Xenon. Though times have changed and also Mahindra's stronger presence in most African markets should mean this wouldn't be the damn squib that international Xenon was.

Looks like this is the turf Tata Motors has completely skipped. They have exited the ladder frame segment with now only the commercial division using it. The Yodha too seems to come to an end. Hope they too get into the lifestyle segment with some BOF products.

Wow !!! looks so interesting. As it is a global product, I hope they sell it in India too, it seems the market for these kind of vehicles is growing.

The design by SRK looks pretty cool. I hope they bring this to India. I will seriously consider trading my V-Cross for this Indian product.

Looks crazily hot for a pick up ! Mahindra is surely gunning for the global market with Australia and South Africa being their gateway to that.
I want to beg, borrow or steal to get this 😂
