Skoda Unveils Slavia Matte Edition and Upgrades Top Variants of Slavia and Kushaq | Prices Revised

Skoda India has introduced upgrades to the top variants of its Kushaq and Slavia models, enhancing their features. The Style variants of both cars now come equipped with powered front seats for the driver and passenger, footwell lighting, and a 10-inch infotainment system along with a subwoofer in the boot. The Kushaq Monte Carlo variant also receives these features except for the subwoofer.

Additionally, Skoda has unveiled a limited-run model of the Slavia called the Slavia Matte Edition. This special edition of the Slavia sports a distinctive matte-finish Carbon Steel paint scheme, complemented by gloss black accents on elements like the door handles and wing mirrors. The Matte Edition is available with both 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI turbo-petrol engine options, and customers can choose between manual and automatic transmissions. The pricing details for this edition have not been disclosed yet.

To add to the festive cheer, Skoda has introduced special pricing for a limited period on its made-in-India models. The starting price for both the Kushaq and Slavia during this festive period is set at Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The regular prices for the Slavia and Kushaq begin at Rs 11.39 lakh and Rs 11.59 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

Skoda has launched the Slavia Matte Edition. The car is available in the top-spec trim and comes in a Carbon Steel colour scheme.



Apart from the matte exterior finish, the Slavia Matte Edition also gets powered front seats and an illuminated footwell area. Other features include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and an 8-speaker sound system with a sub-woofer.

The choice of engines remains the same. The Slavia comes with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 114 BHP and 178 Nm. It is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.

The sedan is also available with a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that puts out 148 BHP and 250 Nm. This engine is mated with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Good going, this is a much needed mid-cycle refresh. Looking forward to this update tricking down to its VW siblings.

Also interested in backward compatibility and the ASCs working on getting these installed to the older models bought before this refresh.

When I checked with few dealers in Bangalore they are giving very conflicting information - Price isn't available, the car might be available from Jan 2024, some said it will be post March 2024.

If anyone manages to get any additional information for Bangalore - pls share.

The slavia base variant is truly value for money with those brilliant safety features (active and passive), excellent build quality, top notch paint quality, supreme dynamics along with good interior space and decent interior quality. The slavia 1.0 active costs 13.4 lakhs on road post the recent price cut and with additional discounts from dealer we are looking at under 13 lakhs on road price which is excellent for a base model with 5 star safety, best dynamics in the segment along with multiple safety features such as ABS, BA, ESC/ESP, TCS, TPMS, ISOFIX, Multi collision braking, Brake disc wiping, XDS, front and rear adjustable headrest,etc along with height adjustable driver seat. Hope Skoda rectifies the AC issue on their new cars and make their cars more desirable.

The skoda slavia is truly VFM in its base variant with several passive and active safety features such as ABS, EBD, BA, ESC, XDS, Brake disc wiping, TCS, TPMS, etc. I feel the slavia base variant at 13.4 lakhs on road(in Bangalore) before discounts is a VFM proposition in current times as it even gets driver seat height adjustment along with an infotainment system that supports wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

To sell existing inventory, the dealerships will make sure that all details of the new car remain a secret as long as possible. This is done to prevent people who have booked the style variant from switching to the new one.

Clearly the dealers are bluffing about Jan and March 2024. The updated versions are launched for the Diwali festive season. And hence I’m hoping them to arrive at dealerships by month end if not sooner.

Skoda have just announced the new Skoda Slavia Matte Edition, with prices ranging from Rs 15.52 lakh – 19.12 lakh; that’s a premium of Rs 40,000 over the regular Style trim that it’s based on

-> Matte Carbon Steel exterior paint shade
-> Wing mirrors, door handles finished in gloss black

Prices for the New Matte Edition are

->1.0 TSI MT – Rs 15.52 lakh
->1.0 TSI AT – Rs 16.72 lakh
->1.5 TSI MT – Rs 17.72 lakh
->1.5 TSI AT – Rs 19.12 lakh

I have to see one in real life before I can decide. Not getting that much of an impression from the photos so far.
