Re: Nissan plans 5 new models for India: SUVs, MPV & EV

I just read the original Autocar India article.

It mentions X-Trail and Magnite facelift are planned for 2024.

Kedrock, thanks for the insider dope.

I was on the verge of booking a Korean SUV but this news is making me rethink. FY 23 is anyway ending in ten days so I hope we hear some significant news very soon.

Just to clarify FY 23 is not ending in 10 days. It will end on 31st March, 24.

Even I liked the X-Trail very much, I need to buy a SUV in 35L range, but its been more than a year since they unveiled X-Trail & nothing happened after that, if they are planning to launch it in next 3 months, I can surely wait for the launch.

Re: Nissan plans 5 new models for India: SUVs, MPV & EV

If all Nissan-Renault wants to do is copy each other assignments then why not just give the best they have in one product?

They really have great vfm products but most of them are just 80-90% there.

Instead of launching a Nissan version of Triber, update it's engine and gearbox. Add sunroof to Kiger/Magnite and or provide an meaningful annual updates. Throw kitchen sink at duster and add AWD and Panasonic Sunroof. Expand service and dealer network.

Show commitment to India that shows you won't shut shop in 5yrs. That's all. Despite having a decent portfolio like Ford India, it's infuriating how they're just half assing it.
