MG is offering the zero maintenance package as part of its Ownership Experience Program. It can be extended to 5 years / 75,000 km at an additional cost. It not only covers service and repair costs but also wear-and-tear part expenses as well. These include components like wiper blades, engine oil, oil filters, electrical wiring, hoses, motors and brake pads.

Besides this, the carmaker is offering an assured buyback option to Gloster customers after 3 years of ownership.

The MG Gloster is also due for a facelift. The updated version of the SUV has already been spotted testing in India. It is likely to be offered with the same set of engines as the outgoing version. These include a 2.0-litre diesel that puts out 161 BHP and 375 Nm and a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel that makes 215 BHP and 480 nm. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

I don't think the service worries are what's putting off prospective buyers. It's the ugly styling with an overabundance of chrome badges, 4 fake exhausts and the lackluster gearbox. You don't want to spend 40-50L on a car that looks like it was given the cheap karol bagh makeover right from the factory.

The car is pretty loaded on features and space but it looks like something from 2016 from the outside which isn't really acceptable anymore. It's badly in need of a proper facelift and not just some special edition badge job.
